I wanna show you guys a very interesting game in the survival horror genre, TBA 2014. It looks like it switches between survival horror and horror shooter as you progress, but it'll definitely be worth a shot when it comes out, methinks. It's called The Evil Within. It's being directed by Shinji Mikami, allegedly the father of survival horror. If that name should mean something, sorry, it doesn't ring a bell for me.

It'll be released on XboxOne, Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and 4, and PC.

The odds of me being able to game on the 12th are virtually non existent, and I will be cutting the 11th's session a bit short due to needing to get to bed at a decent time to wake up pretty early.  Sorry guys.  Naturally you guys can play without me on the 12th, Sorangath aka Toran isn't really that needed; he's a fighter, he hits things heh.

Hmm, I thought the 12th was Monday instead of Tuesday. Hence why I said "I assume there won't be any D&D session". Anyway, I fully expected you to be absent on Monday AND Tuesday, but it looks like we'll have some Primus D&D (hint : cut the session at 9:35 PM, just when I leave for work *wink wink*).

Looks interesting but I'm left wondering what's up with that thing chasing the PC? Is it even human? Because its knocking down heavy metal doors like they are nothing.

If you've seen the screenshots of the enemies on the site, you'll notice that there are bits of metal sticking in them or holding parts of their body together or open, and towards the end of the video you'll notice that he's burning the bodies after he shoots their heads off. Whatever they are, they're unnatural, or unnaturally made. If you ask me, they used to be human, and the butcher we see chasing the player seems to be a pawn in killing humans and reconstructing them into one of them, but is one of them himself. Don't forget the scene in which he exits that place and finds abandoned police cars, and roads/ground ripped up. I think there's something older or more sinister at work.

Mikami made Resident Evil and Dino Crisis? Instant fan! And...Shadows of the Damned. Dark times, I guess.

I'm not really interested into horror games since I... well... don't like to be scared. Never finished the first F.E.A.R. game. Amnesia neither (and I was playing with my sister besides me, which put me in a situation where I was forced to play so that I don't look like a scared kid). So no, I'm not playing that.

...But I did read Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni. I read all of it, endured the horror scenes, just because of the quality of the writing. But a game? NO THANK YOU. Too much interactivity.

Looks like Silent Hill meets Hellraiser.
Not something I'll be playing, but it looks impressive for a game of that genre.

So Arch after all my character went through in the trial, I can't gain professions, skills, or anything gained while in the trial. But, can I have a broader vocabulary for it?

So Snarg, I just noticed that in your sheet you have "bloodhound" down as one of your character's classes, was that recent? What is that?

It's a prestige class level I took at the last level-up. It's a class that specializes in tracking and capturing with some unique bonuses if you're going against targets you have had the opportunity to mark.

Just got a message from Xan through Steam. The surgery is over and Arch will stay at the hospital for 3-4 days. That is all.

I very much doubted they'd let him go on the very day after a surgery like that, even it if is a fortune they're charging.

I remember asking him on Twitch one time about what the doctors were able to figure out in a visit before any of these surgeries, but my audio cut out while he was explaining. Remind me again what the source of the problem is exactly?

If I remember correctly, it was kidney stones.

Dollar sized, if memory serves.

Roughly 30 'smaller' kidney stones, aka about 4mm in diameter ones, and one kidney stone about 3cm in diameter.  Which, the more you think about it and know what the kidneys do int he body, the more it explains.

I still think it's too bad the doctors wouldn't let you keep any of the stones....

Well amen, normally they just make you pass them. Y'know, its surprising this didn't come up sooner, considering, or the stones must have been held back by something. You can make it Arch. I believe in you.

Glad they've been cleared out now. I'm sure that's a relief to have those out of your system now.

Yeah, I can see being able to freely move your body once this is all over will be awesome, so all the more power to ya.
