Re: Welcome back home
The only people who have real experience with relief efforts are the Order. And they brainwash people.
You overestimate the difficulty of the task. If someone needs food, you provide it to them. Same thing for clothes, shelter or healing. You take some of the recruits we have and you delegate the responsibilities. Janwall also needs to be rebuilt after what we did there. That's a great chance to help people on a grand scale.
You're a player character. By default, you can potentially do better than any NPC. The real problem is that you won't have enough resources to help everyone.
Or I could just say it like this: you can do it.

I guess we could start with Janwall. Might build a rapport with Radnaal while we're at it.

Might as well say it here.
I assigned around twenty people to your division K (the exact number is irrelevant). They are under your orders. You can train them too if you want.
One long-term goal: rebuild Janwall.
A few suggestions:
You don't have to do this. If you have a better idea, go for it. And you can assign your recruits to any of these tasks.

A few suggestions:
- Hire a few white mages. When we have some money...
- Organize the refugees. Maybe even find them a job. If you wish to convince some NPCs but don't feel capable of doing so, ask Sareth for help. He's our Ambassador after all.
- When Kolson has brought back the food from the docks, and after me and Rory secured it, you could distribute it equally.
- If there are children, they probably need teachers. In fact, you could teach any human how life on Dereth is.

Calm down, you sound like someone from Game of Thrones. I might get stabbed any minute now.
By the way Rory, one of my last posts was for you. Not sure if you caught that.
And have you guys read our older posts recently? Especially the thread where we discuss whether we should join the Order or not. Man, we mellowed a lot.

I found that post! Man, almost two years ago. It brings me back.
*laughing*
You were pissed.

I do not think we will face a job that is more challenging on our morals than that."Higaide wrote:"No, you lying hypocrite, YOU were. I was trying to prevent that at every turn, and got made into a murderer thanks to your blood-thirst and stupidity. If you want to go kiss your new master's ass, no one's stopping you, but don't bring me down to your level."Zeiss wrote:"Just to clarify : you made the choice to follow me. You also made the choice to kill that Gnoll. I was trying to tackle him because we needed him alive. You and Raver murdered him. Own up to what you did and do not push that responsibility onto me. Re: Welcome back home
That thing with the Gnolls had kept me up well into 5 or 6 AM if i remember right, after everyone else but you, me and Raver had left. Doing that everyday for that first month or so made me jet-lagged without even leaving the country.

I looked and it seems like I posted these around 2:00pm, which would be 7:00 or 8:00pm for you? It doesn't really matter.
But hey guys, have a look at Arch's wiki. He created new entries: http://archengeias.wikia.com/wiki/Archengeia%27s_Wiki

Those four were during the day, i remember (was between sessions, when Arch wasn't around), but if you check the ones from the first session you'll probably find the hour a tad later. Or if you want the extreme example, check the fight with Herzul of Mauradine (or Suzy, as i call him). The sun was well and up by the time i hit the sack.

Re: Welcome back home
I've read some. That time when we were exploring the ship. My RP was pretty hilarious. Ah, beginning, the rough ride and adjusting our expectations and learning to RP better... I don't miss it.
My outburst was a reference to Fallout, Zeiss. Thank you for pointing out that thing you were trying to say to me, I'll give a response shortly.

Re: Welcome back home
We did become better roleplayers. Let's never return to that time.
Things would be very different if we restarted the campaign with the same characters.

Higaide would have been a Lord Elf Barbarian named Icecream. He'd roar his own name as a warcry before he attacked.

Rory's official title in the Exchange at this current time is Master-at-Arms.

Re: Welcome back home
Good thing I did too since I realized that I was missing twelve skill points. I am now trained in 17 of the 27 available skills. Talk about being a jack of all trades.
I really like reading about the notable NPCs who are walking around in the world. And I would be lying if I said that I didn't enjoy seeing my character's name on that list, including his childhood friends. Well, these names are probably there because I'm playing a PC, but it still feels like someone gave me a medal. *Star Wars ending scene plays in the background*
I also found quite amusing the fact that the title of Overseer I chose for myself is also used by the leader of the Bloodied Flock. Not going to change it though since it perfectly describe Zeiss' role within the Exchange. A guy who funds relief efforts like me should not let himself be called Warlord, at least not by his own men. The other Blocs can call me whatever.

Re: Welcome back home
And another update on the titles. This time, I made a chart of what the Exchange's hierarchy looks like... or should I say what it will look like. As of now, many people must fill multiple roles at the same time.
This list may change.

Re: Welcome back home
About that, I decided to remove mention of any relationships and conquests from the document on Rory's family. Totally unnecessary, sends the wrong message, and if it made you uncomfortable I apologize. Now that I'm reminded of the wikia you've been working on, I also think it's too personal and, well, TMI, basically, for wiki content. Not that new management would find anything in those details that couldn't go on the wiki. For reasons.
A part of me likes being at the top of that hierarchy tree...
"You've got to project power, especially when you're weakened."
--Royland Degore, Telltale's Game of Thrones
I'm not having Rory morph into Royland, he's just my new favorite character.

Re: Welcome back home
Y'know it took me a while to realize what Rory meant, I thought he meant I shouldn't be listing info in the wikia period heh. But to come clean I always was going to let you guys have a say on your own character pages once I get that far.
In a... somewhat unrelated note, there is the possibility of a serious RL issue coming up. If it does, this campaign and my online presence will go on hold and I am not certain when that would expire. Don't want to worry anyone, but if I simply vanish one day that's probably why. Figured I owed you guys a heads up.
