Desert group:

- The desert group books it east as fast as it can, trying to get out of sight before they bank north to head back towards town. It briefly occurs to you that at least one person knows you were present at the site of the corpses, should anyone try to question; the deputy. Nevertheless with the immediate danger Caladrius is bringing that problem will have to wait for now.

Looking around in nervousness, Ashakel notices the huge Olthoi inside the inn. How did I miss her? Finally....One of father's kind. He approaches her in an almost shy manner, and trys his broken Skittish.

Raver turns to see a familiar creature entering the inn. As he noticed commotion bombarding outside. This was the first time he has seen an Olthoi in years.
"Excuse me... Miss. You are free to speak Skittish. I am familiar with your people." He turns his head to the windows. "Do you know what's going on outside?"

- You manage to bet back to the site of the corpses, and are momentarily surprised to find it abandoned, none of the other party in sight. The crowd, seeing them lying in the sand like that, now begins actively crying, yelling, and getting even more panicked than before. The healer has already rushed forward with his best Healing Kit, but after a few moments lowers it, his shoulders slumped. The apothecary, meanwhile, is frowning at the corpses. "This is... a very fiendish poison. I've never seen anything like it, it's actually dissolving the bodies rapidly... I don't even know what it's made from..."
At about this point the healer gets up, sighing, and then turns to look at Caladrius. "It seems whoever injured them returned while you were away, getting us," he lamented. "They've already been stripped of their gear like... like common bandits."

Caladius quickly surmising the situation come up with a plan. “lets get the bodies back to town, we will need the guilds help to figure out who did this. The worst thing to do right now is act without thinking”

- "Good idea," the healer nods, shaking a bit. He yells, "Everyone, we need to get them back to town! I need a few volunteers!" About 20 people surge forward and in short order all 8 bodies are being carried on the shoulders of almost a fourth the entire mob as they make their way back to town.
Heading-To-Ravine-Group:

- By this time you are passing through town, and cannot help but notice that roughly 100% of the people you pass are all rumor gossiping at an almost hectic pace about the fact that Sir Oakheart is dead, and trying to guess at what caused it. The most common rumor you hear is that the Sho had him killed, and the general atmosphere of fear in the town has increased by several levels.
In-The-Inn-Group:

- By this point rumors have reached the inn and the entire place is abuzz with speculation about what happened to Oakheart. People are wondering if it was bandits or mercenaries, but most agree that, as strong an Orc as he was, it was probably professional. Maybe even the Sho are finally beginning to attack...

- You find nothing worth looting in the office, which is quite quiet. You also take 2 damage from moving while the bone was half-mended, and it is now fully broken again.

As Rory's gaze panned around the room, his heart nearly skipped. The giant bug, now speaking in clicks and buzzes, was the most hideous thing he had encountered on this continent by far. He stared in shock, not sure whether to draw his blade in defense. "It" seemed to be sentient, so he decided to wait, which in its presence, was almost torturous to endure.

- You're looking at about 140g for an Iron Rapier, a mundane journal would be fairly cheap unless you want a nice one, any skill bonus item (cloak or gloves) would run you at roughly 600g each.

You make several attempts with merchants who appear to be open at first glance, but they are in the process of shutting down shop as you talk to them. The general air you get is that they are afraid a Sho invasion is coming presently, as in within the day, and so everyone is clearing the streets. The Militia are actively patrolling the roads now and informing everyone that they should head to their homes or inns and stay inside for the duration of the emergency.Evanar wrote:Raver nods and heads to the market. No I believe there is someone/something larger at work here that would benefit is the from the two nations attacking each other. The question is why; I would like you to keep an ear out for any unusual information. Don’t let your bias of the past blind you, you are a healer like myself, YOUR DUTY is to save as many people as you can Orc, Gnolls and Sho alike.”

Zeiss got up and walked in the direction of the Guild hall. He hoped the gold was ready.
