I never thought I would see Arch post a Rory's link. This is a day to remember.

So, funny thing. I went to look up last names to find one for Rory, and decided to settle on something Norse. This one page offered the patronymic/matronymic  method, as well as the simple combination method(two or more words). After a few hours, I settled on “øl” and “sund”, or what the page translated to “welling water” and “sound”. Well, when trying to figure out how to pronounce “ø”("ey" as in "elm" but with a subtle "y" trailing at the end),  I stumbled on Wiktionary’s translation: beer. From all 4 definitions too: Danish, Faroese, and Norwegian Bokmål and Norweg. Nynorsk. "Welling water". Uh-huh, sure. Just don't tell the kids, I read you loud and clear. Hmm...probably how they did it back in then, too.


So Rory's last name means "the sound of beer." And everyone's heard it on more than one occasion.

LOL. Fitting.

You never know, there could have been a brewer in the family 10 generations back.

As I said Rory, I recommend this movie to everyone. Very funny too.

So I've really been coming back to "GET OUTTA HERE" from Game Grumps, but here's a 3-minute-and-36-second  Game Grumps Moment video, from the Game Grumps Moments channel by Game Grumps with all their funny moments while playing Dennis the Menace the game. I'm putting hit here because I think it's more satisfying than the 48-second video I keep linking for a freestyle farts'n'giggles bop that isn't even half the length of said video. Enjoy!

I managed to figure out why the portrait input in the character sheet tab didn't work for me. Turns out the URL was just ONE LETTER TOO LONG. Jeez.

Anyway, I managed to work around that and I uploaded a portrait of my character Rory to the character sheet tab of my profile to make way for *drum roll*...Zebediah Greenlaw! Seeing as how only Javan's campaign is the play-by-post here, I figured it'd be alright if I changed my portrait just to reflect that. Besides, you all have seen Rory's ugly face enough times to know what it looks like off the top of your head.

Also, his head's not shaven anymore. He's got a proper hairstyle.

Like the music, Zeiss. It deserves to be shared.

Christmas special: Jontron does something he realizes he should have done a long time ago...and then he does something he realizes he has to do immediately after doing what he realized he should have done a long time ago. Also he's going to Magfest. Whatever that is.

One final dongley-do for you and then I'm done editing this post! New "channel" from the Game Grumps hosted by the behind-the-scenes Grumps which I think is more your taste--with no shortage of butt jokes I"m afraid. That is, afraid for you. I love butt jokes. Also it's not a "channel" persei, just a new "thing" that they're doing on Polaris, and it's called Table Flip! They do tabletop games; not necessarily roleplaying or rpg type, but mostly card&board games. The reason for the title is that the hosts wanted a name that didn't involve "board" or "card", because those words are boring when paired with "game", so one of their awesome friends(or sister, details were lost in translation) suggested the current title in its entirety. I've already watched Table Flip. Personally I think Wil Wheaton does it better on his Youtube show Tabletop, but the show isn't bad. So long as they keep linking to it on the Game Grumps channel I'll keep watching it.

K I'm not offended, I just don't understand, there is no unbelieving. It's just a party at the end of the year, so please explain, what's to believe in?

And I would like an Aluvian military background. Because that would be perfect right about now.

Now I'm sure that there might be some hesitation at this next request, but I would also like to attend a Weaving school as part of my background, from way back in Stonehold. The idea is that my starting gold will be less, but having joined the Aluvian military, I might gain weaponry and armor free with the signing on and pledge of service to the military.

Funny, I've been creating this character with Game of Thrones' theme playing on loop.

Also, and I'm sure this has been reiterated a dozen times, but if I could find it in the forums or in a document I wouldn't be asking. What's starting CXP, and what's the increase at level-up(I've read up on the rules and the "must use XP or no get XP" rule)?

One more thing: Exotic Weapon Proficiency. Who's got 'em? Can a Fighter have 'em, one, none? The SRD says lists the classes that don't get any Exotic Weapon Proficiencies, which is basically ALL of the base classes, and after doing a little searching, none of the listed prestige classes can either, but forget about those. So are there any base classes that are proficient in exotic weaponry in this setting, could my Fighter just have the proficiency that I want, or should I just go search for a custom class that has what I want and show it to you?

...Why is Rory creating a new character?

Arch asked everyone to think about a different, level 1 character to play in the current continuity. Remember, right before your trial? The "homework" that was mentioned.

Yeah, I didn't think we had to create a whole character sheet.

In any case, as I said, I would like to play a Tumerok. But that's a character I cannot build because they are super spoilery and they don't even have stats.
